SE Professor Publishes Papers

Dr. Mo. Chehbouni, a chemistry assistant professor, published two papers in different books in collaboration with Dr. Allen Apblett from Oklahoma State University.

The first paper titled:”Green Process for Uranium Separation Utilizing Molybdenum Trioxide” was published as chapter 13 of 2010 issue of the Nuclear Energy and the Environment. An issue  of the American Chemical Society Symposium Series. Dr. Mo. was the first author of the article. The second paper titled: “Nanotechnology for Uranium Separations and Immobilization” was published in Advances in Materials Science for Environmental and Nuclear Technology: Ceramic Transactions, Volume 222.

OK-INBRE is sited as an important factor in OU Health Sciences Center ranking among top 10 places.

 

Oklahoma Student Awarded Sidney A. McNairy, Jr. Award

Congratulations to Ms. Desiray Cannon who won a student travel award at the June 2010 NISBRE Conference!  Recipients were selected based on rating and per review of submitted abstracts.  Pictured below at the podium is Dr. Sidney McNairy, Jr., Director, RCMI, Director, Division of Research Infrastructure and Associate Director, National Center for Research Resources, National Institutes of Health. Ms. Desiray Cannon is being presented the travel award by Dr. Charles Irvin, PI, NISBRE.
